What we do.

Transform Metals is a producer and warehouse for cold drawn seamless tubes in carbon, low alloys and stainless steel.

We are used to work in standard imperial and metric sizes and can deliver in standard random lengths, cut to length or even coils. Our most popular finishings are +C, +N, +SR and we also quote top coating surface protections of zinc or phosphate of different thicknesses.

Low Carbon Steel Grades: 1010, 1018, 1020, 1026, 4130, 4140, P460 in European equivalents E235, E215, E275, E355, 25CrMo4, 42CrMo4, C22, P235GH and many others

Stainless steel: 304, 316

Imperial Sizes: OD ‘s 3/16” - 5” Wall .020” – 0.50”

Metric Sizes: OD 3 – 125 mm Wall 0.5 – 12 mm

Specifications: J524, ASTM A519, EN10305-1, EN10305-4, STKM 11A and many others.

Transform Metals Company stocks cold drawn seamless tubes in grades E235/ SAE J524/ A179 or 4130 under standard tolerances of both metric and imperial sizes. We supply in small ready-to-go bundles the main hydraulic dimensions:

Steel Grades: E235, J524, A179, 4130

Imperial Sizes: OD ‘s 3/16” – 1.5” Wall .020” – 0.128”

Metric Sizes: OD 3 – 42 mm Wall 0.5 – 3 mm

Surface protections: outside oiled, zinc plated

Heat treatment: +N or +SR

Our hydraulic tubes are drawn out of E235/J524/A179 steel and conform to EN 10305-4 / SAE J524 / ASTM A179M-19 / AMS 5050L. Finishing under a +N heat treatment.

Our chrome plated tubes are drawn out of E235/J524/A179 steel and conform to EN 10305-4 / SAE J524 / ASTM A179M-19 / AMS 5050L. Finishing under a +N heat treatment. The chrome plated process with the special protective extra layer (Fe/Zn8/C CrVI free) provides protection against white rust of more than 180 hours and against red rust of more than 480 hours salt spray test ( ISO 9227 NSS) in straight condition.

Our grade 304/304L stainless steel, compliant with EN 10216-5:2021 TC1, ASTM A269-22, and ASTM A213-23 standards, and grade 316/316L stainless steel, compliant with the same standards, are available in 6,000 mm lengths. The 304/304L (1.4301/1.4307) and 316/316L (1.4401/1.4404) grades offer excellent corrosion resistance and durability. These materials are widely used in medical devices, construction, automotive exhaust systems, and high-pressure pipelines, ensuring superior performance in demanding environments.

Our tubes are drawn out of 4130 steel and conform to AMS 6360P / AMS-T-6736B. Finishing under a stress relieved +SR heat treatment.
